Two quality-of-life upgrades landed today.

Cross-library search in ⌘K

Open the command menu (⌘K / Ctrl+K) and search across your entire library — titles and transcript content. Results jump you straight into the matching video.

Transcript file downloads

The transcript copy menu now downloads real files: plain text (TXT) for documents and SRT subtitles ready for YouTube or any video editor — alongside the existing clipboard copies and CSV export.

Good to know

• Search covers everything you've processed: public videos, private uploads, and imported playlists.
• SRT timestamps come straight from the transcript segments, so they line up with the player.

Your Video Highlight library is now accessible from outside Video Highlight.

Personal access tokens

Create and revoke tokens in Settings → API Keys. Tokens are scoped, shown once at creation, and work with the public API.

MCP server (beta)

The new MCP server exposes your library to AI assistants that speak the Model Context Protocol — list your videos, fetch transcripts and summaries, and search across everything you've processed, right from your assistant.

Good to know

• API access is available on Pro and Business plans and is still marked experimental — endpoints may evolve.
• Tokens can be revoked at any time; revocation takes effect immediately.

Over the past weeks we've been quietly unifying the app's visual language, and the last piece landed today.

What changed

• A borderless header shell with clear page titles across every screen.
• One consistent page-header system for the video AI pages and all of Settings.
• Pill-shaped form controls and a rounder, softer component style throughout.
• Flicker-free empty states while your data loads.
• A single brand wordmark shared between the app and the website.

No workflows changed — everything is where it was, it just reads better, especially on smaller screens.

You can now cancel or change your subscription directly from Settings → Subscriptions. The flow takes a couple of clicks, shows exactly what happens to your remaining time, and never requires emailing support.

Why it matters

• Your billing should be as easy to leave as it is to join. We'd rather earn your renewal with the product.
• If something pushed you to cancel, the flow lets you tell us in one sentence — every response is read.

Good to know

• Cancelling keeps your plan active until the end of the paid period.
• Your library, summaries and transcripts stay intact on the Free plan afterwards.

You can now select the spoken language when uploading private files. If you know the language, choosing it improves accuracy and reduces processing time, particularly for noisy recordings and short clips.

Why it helps

• Better results on noisy audio, strong accents, and dialects.
• Fewer mis‑detections on short clips.
• Clearer numbers, names, and punctuation.
• Faster processing when detection can be skipped.

How it works

1. Upload a private file.
2. When prompted, choose the spoken language (or leave Auto‑detect if you’re unsure).
3. Continue. Video Highlight locks in the best recognition model for that language.

Good to know

• Auto‑detect remains available.
• This choice only affects speech recognition; it doesn’t change your summary language.
• If you mostly work in one language, set a default in Preferences.

We’ve expanded Video Highlight with broader language coverage for both AI summaries and transcriptions, and added a simple accuracy indicator in the language selector ( High, Medium, Low ).
