Final Days and Passing

• Father Rafael García Herreros passed away on November 24, 1992, in a simple bed adjacent to a library. He had been suffering from kidney issues and heart problems, including having a pacemaker installed.

• His health deteriorated due to the combination of renal function decline and arteriosclerosis. Doctors decided it was best for him to spend his final days in the Minuto de Dios neighborhood rather than at the Country Clinic where he had been hospitalized.

• Notably, he died during a banquet event called "Banquete del Millón" at Hotel Tequendama, symbolically suggesting that God invited him to the heavenly banquet while people gathered on Earth in his honor.
