Functionality of a Pressure Regulator

• The pressure regulator is crucial for controlling both pressure and volume flow in pneumatic systems, as illustrated by the dark blue input pressure connection.

• Adjusting the spindle clockwise pre-tensions the range spring, which establishes the desired output pressure set value.

• The increase in output pressure can be monitored via a manometer, providing real-time feedback on system performance.

Operation of the Regulating Tap

• When the regulating tap is pressed down, it opens the venting valve, allowing compressed air to flow from input to output (shown in light blue).

• The actual output pressure reaches beneath the diaphragm through a vent pipe connected to the regulator's output.
