Exercises to Cultivate Remote Viewing with Lyn Buchanan

Exercises to Cultivate Remote Viewing with Lyn Buchanan

Exploring Remote Viewing Exercises

Introduction to Remote Viewing

  • Jeffrey Mishlove introduces the topic of remote viewing and its development through practical exercises.
  • Lynne Buchanan, a veteran trainer from the military Stargate program, joins to share insights on enhancing remote viewing abilities.

Developing Sensitivity to Ambiance

  • The exercise involves consciously noticing changes in ambiance every time one enters a new space, which helps in developing sensitivity to subtle shifts.
  • Recognizing these small changes can provide significant information during remote viewing sessions, as it trains the mind to detect variations rather than static conditions.

Importance of Change Recognition

  • Buchanan emphasizes that if one cannot perceive changes in familiar environments, they will struggle with distant targets during remote viewing.
  • The human mind is naturally attuned to change; for example, people often overlook long-standing objects but notice them when pointed out by others.

Exercises for Enhancing Intuition

  • One standard exercise used in military training is based on Betty Edwards' book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain," which cultivates intuition and creativity.
  • This book has also been utilized by experts like Linda Pellington Jones for intuitive animal communication training.

Ideograms as a Tool in Remote Viewing

  • Buchanan discusses ideograms—simple drawings representing ideas—which serve as foundational tools in remote viewing practice.
  • He compares learning ideograms to martial arts training, where repetitive practice ingrains skills into the subconscious mind.

Stages of Ideogram Development

  • Stage one involves creating basic ideograms that represent essential elements (e.g., water), while subsequent stages build complexity with words and images.
  • As practitioners advance through stages, they develop more intricate ideograms that can convey multi-dimensional aspects of their targets.

Understanding Psychic Impressions and Vocabulary Expansion

The Nature of Psychic Impressions

  • Discussion on how individuals often receive psychic impressions but struggle to articulate them due to a limited vocabulary.
  • Example given of the term "hyperbolic paraboloid," illustrating the challenge of expressing complex ideas without proper terminology.

Stages of Learning in Remote Viewing

  • Explanation of progressing through stages in remote viewing, culminating in creating complex ideograms that represent relationships between societies.
  • Emphasis on expanding vocabulary as a fundamental exercise to enhance cognitive abilities and expression.

Vocabulary Exercises and Their Impact

  • Introduction of a vocabulary exercise where participants name colors, aiming to draw from their passive vocabulary for better expression.
  • Notable outcomes observed in children’s academic performance and creativity when engaging with vocabulary expansion exercises.

Sensory Awareness Through Practical Exercises

  • Description of an exercise called "go hug a couple of trees," which enhances sensitivity to subtle differences in sensory experiences.
  • Importance of recognizing small changes in touch, sound, and taste as part of developing heightened awareness.

Advanced Observation Techniques

  • An advanced exercise involves describing people entering a restaurant without looking directly at them, enhancing observational skills.
  • Reflection on personal transformations experienced by students who report feeling more awake and aware after practicing these techniques.

Picture Description Exercise

  • Introduction to the "dista Kista scope" exercise that trains individuals to describe images accurately under time constraints.

Understanding Customer Expectations in Information Accuracy

The Importance of Dependability in Information

  • Customers prioritize the reliability of information over its completeness; they want to know how dependable the provided data is.
  • A military study revealed an accuracy dependability score of 82.7%, emphasizing the importance of feedback on information accuracy.
  • Students often struggle to achieve above a 93% accuracy rate, indicating high standards for information quality.

Subconscious Awareness and Detail Recognition

  • The subconscious mind plays a crucial role in identifying important details that may not align with customer requests but are still significant.
  • An exercise called "Do You See What I See?" helps participants understand the difference between perception and verbal description, highlighting communication challenges.

Exercises to Enhance Remote Viewing Skills

Descriptive Accuracy and Communication

  • The goal of descriptive exercises is to enable one person to accurately draw based on another's description, reinforcing the need for clarity in communication.
  • In project management courses, viewers provide raw data that project managers must interpret without jumping to conclusions, which can lead to errors.

Continuous Practice and Real-Life Application

  • Participants engage in various exercises that become second nature over time, enhancing their observational skills in everyday life.
  • These practices not only improve remote viewing abilities but also increase awareness of one's surroundings.

The Nature of Psychic Abilities and Training

Distinguishing Between Psychic Ability and Training

  • Enhanced observation skills from training can lead others to perceive individuals as psychic; however, it stems from rigorous practice rather than innate ability.
  • Controlled remote viewing (CRV) processes help access subconscious knowledge by establishing a reliable channel for information transfer.

Improving Mental Communication Systems

  • The analogy of two tin cans connected by string illustrates how human mental capabilities have evolved through structured training methods.

Understanding Remote Viewing and Its Impact

The Nature of Human Potential

  • Mentors like Jean Houston suggest that humans possess a complex system akin to a Stradivarius violin, yet often only learn to utilize it as if it were a plastic fiddle.
  • The subconscious mind holds vast knowledge, including personal history and motivations behind actions, which can be accessed through remote viewing techniques.

Transformative Effects of Remote Viewing

  • Originally designed for intelligence gathering, remote viewing exercises can significantly alter one's life perspective and purpose.
  • Many individuals seek to understand if they are living their lives with intention and fulfilling their highest potential through these practices.

Insights from Experts

  • Russell Targ emphasizes that the primary benefit of learning remote viewing is not the skill itself but the personal growth it fosters.
  • Engaging in remote viewing opens access to deeper insights within oneself, leading to profound philosophical reflections.

First-Time Experiences in Remote Viewing

  • When first-time viewers participate in sessions, they often experience unexpected success, leading them to question their own capabilities.
  • This initial success can lead to self-doubt or denial as individuals grapple with the implications of their experiences.

Challenges and Misconceptions

  • People may resist acknowledging their experiences due to deeply ingrained life paradigms that challenge their understanding of reality.
  • Some individuals express paranoia about government involvement in psychic phenomena, despite evidence suggesting such programs are no longer active.

Personal Accounts and Ethical Dilemmas

  • The speaker recounts receiving numerous threats after revealing his work on psychic functioning, highlighting societal fears surrounding these topics.

The Impact of Remote Viewing on Historical Events

The Unexpected End of Communism

  • The speaker reflects on their surprise at the end of communism, attributing it to their dedicated efforts over several months. They worked three sessions a day, leading to unexpected results.
  • The speaker expresses joy upon realizing that their work may have contributed to significant political changes, highlighting the effectiveness of their methods.

Government Involvement in Remote Viewing

  • Discussion arises about the possibility of government programs related to remote viewing targeting high-profile individuals rather than ordinary citizens.
  • The speaker acknowledges that while some people report hearing voices attributed to government influence, the likelihood of such occurrences being genuine is considered slim.

Training and Educational Methods

  • The speaker mentions creating approximately 1500 training tapes for teaching purposes, emphasizing the need for in-depth learning beyond traditional classroom settings.
  • They stress the importance of face-to-face interaction in learning remote viewing techniques, noting that online formats can extend course durations significantly.

Nuances in Learning Remote Viewing

  • Acknowledgment is made regarding the complexities involved in mastering remote viewing skills, indicating that proficiency requires extensive time and practice.
