  • Wrap the bandage leader around the body and into the armpit opposite of the wound.
  • Insert the bandage through the pressure applicator and pull back to tighten.
  • Continue bandaging around the body through the opposite armpit to keep it away from trachea.

Dressing a Head Wound

  • To dress a head wound, remove selected bandage from its packaging and place non-adherent pad over wound positioning it between pressure applicator and malay ball.
  • Wrap bandage leader around head inserting it into pressure applicator and pull back firmly in opposite direction to lower pressure applicator over wound.

Dressing a Limb Wound

  • To dress a limb wound, remove bandage from packaging and place dressing pad over wound.
  • Wrap bandage around limb and insert into pressure applicator.
  • Firmly pull back on bandage in opposite direction and continue wrapping.

Applying Additional Pressure for Severe Hemorrhages

  • For severe uncontrolled hemorrhages, additional pressure can be applied by inserting closure bar between last one or two layers of wrapped bandages.
