How to Create a Highlight Video and Instagram Reel with ClipChamp
Getting Started with ClipChamp
- Begin by logging into ClipChamp or signing up for free. Access the editor to start your project.
- Import your content by clicking on the import media button, selecting your videos, and hitting open. Your videos will then load into the media library.
Setting Up Your Project
- Choose your preferred aspect ratio; the default is 16x9. For an Instagram reel, change it to 9x6 using the floating toolbar in the stage.
- Add videos to your timeline by dragging and dropping them from the media library.
Editing Your Videos
- Trim and adjust video lengths by highlighting an asset in your timeline and dragging the trimming handle left or right as needed.
- Repeat this process for all clips until you are satisfied with the total duration of your highlight video.
Finalizing Your Timeline
- Delete any gaps created during editing by right-clicking on them and selecting "delete all visual gaps." This will rearrange assets automatically.
Enhancing Visual Appeal
- Optionally add transitions for visual effects by navigating to the transitions tab, previewing options, and dragging a chosen transition between clips.
- Edit transition speed in the property panel using a slider; ensure you're happy with how it looks before finalizing.
- To change a transition, click on it, select another option from the property panel, or use the plus button between clips to add new transitions.
