Bushan Opera House
Innovative House Design Concepts
Maximizing Ground Visibility and Roof Height
- The concept begins with placing a house underground, allowing for a roof design that maximizes ground visibility while minimizing height.
- The roof's diagonal structure resembles paper, creating an entrance on one diagonal while naturally connecting to the surrounding area on the opposite diagonal.
- To enhance the view from the roof, a folding mechanism is introduced, utilizing four diagonals as support for a higher rooftop observation platform.
Creating Access and Functionality
- An additional feature includes an opening on one side of the roof, providing access via outdoor steps leading to the highest point of the roof.
- This design creates a seamless flow from ground level to the rooftop, enhancing accessibility and functionality within urban settings.
Integrating Urban Functions
- To accommodate more urban functions between upper and lower roofs, two large theaters are integrated into the internal space of the building.
- This innovative approach results in a multifunctional space that serves both residential needs and cultural activities within the city context.
