Overview of ProjectLibre Views and Reports
Default View: Gantt Chart
- The default view in ProjectLibre is the Gantt chart, which visually represents project timelines and tasks.
- Users can also switch to a network diagram view that highlights critical path activities in red, indicating their importance in project scheduling.
Task Views
- Another task view available is the "Task Usage" report, which displays work hours dedicated to each task instead of graphical representation.
Resource View
- The resource view allows users to manage both human and material resources necessary for project execution.
- Resources can be grouped into categories (human vs. material), facilitating better organization when using the Resource Breakdown Structure (RBS).
Generating Project Reports
- Four main report options are available: project details, resource information, task information, and a special "Who does what?" report.
- Reports can be exported in various formats such as PDF, HTML, Excel (XLS), or CSV for further analysis or presentation.
Filtering Report Data
- Most reports allow filtering by additional criteria; for example, resource information can be filtered by cost indicators or earned value metrics.
- The "Who does what?" report also supports multiple filtering options to refine data presentation before export.
Visualizing Resource Usage
- A histogram feature helps identify over-allocation of resources; for instance, it shows if any team member is overloaded with tasks.
- Graphical representations like cumulative graphs require selecting specific activities to visualize workload distribution effectively.
Printing Options
- For physical presentations of reports, users can access print preview settings that allow customization of printed content based on selected project information.
