Historia del Triple salto
Triple Jump Overview
What is the Triple Jump?
- The triple jump is an athletics event categorized under jumps, requiring a specific sequence of movements.
- The sequence consists of three phases: a jump on one leg, followed by another jump on the same leg, and finally a change to the opposite leg before landing in sand.
Jumping Sequences
- Two primary sequences are used: left-left-right or right-right-left, culminating in a fall into the sand pit.
- Measurement of the jump is taken from the nearest footprint left in the sand to the take-off board.
Rules and Records
- If an athlete's first jump exceeds the line at take-off, that attempt will be disqualified.
- The men's world record for triple jump is held by Jonathan Edwards with a distance of 18.29 meters set in 1995.
