Pocos conceptos, muy pocos, acaso logran dar con el nervio de una época, y solo en esos casos pasan a ser de uso y discusión común en espacios que se escapan de los libros, las academias, para interpelar de frente a quienes preferirían permanecer impávidos. Rita Segato esbozó el de ‘Pedagogías de crueldad’, que cobró una inusitada circulación por el modo en que precisamente lograba dar con la clave de una época, acaso no como producto solo de una inventiva intelectual, sino de una gran sensibilidad analítica para sintetizar, con él, aquello que de estar tanto ante nuestras narices lo lograba verse crítica y por lo tanto políticamente. Contribuye junto a algunas categorías de otras autores, a poner el centro el gran componente inteletual de los feminismos, algo que le ha dado una potencia inédita como movimiento que viene a cambiarlo todo, sin pedir permiso. Hace unos años, la invitamos a dictar el seminario ‘Contrapedagogías de la crueldad’, que se llevó a cabo en una casa desbordada.
