Early Life and Evangelization Efforts

• Father Rafael García Herrero was a prominent evangelizer, dedicating his life to preaching about God and Jesus Christ.

• He spent the first 20 years of his priesthood training other priests in various seminaries across Colombia and Venezuela, including Santa Rosa de Osos, Jericó, Pamplona, and Cali.

Radio Ministry Development

• Initiated the "Hora Católica" radio program in Venezuela in 1946, which he later transformed into "Minuto de Dios" in February 1950.

• After a brief period in Medellín, he joined Radiodifusora Nacional in December 1954; this marked an expansion of his radio ministry alongside Father Gas Guerrero.

Television Expansion

• The first television broadcast of "Minuto de Dios" occurred on January 10, 1955, extending his reach beyond radio to visual media.

Literary Contributions

• Father García Herrero authored numerous books that began as small publications but grew into a comprehensive collection; currently publishing the 33rd volume with plans for around 35 total works.

Charismatic Renewal Movement

• He played a pivotal role in introducing the Catholic Charismatic Renewal to Colombia after its inception in the U.S. in 1967.
