Accessing SAP Applications via SAP Logon
Introduction to SAP Logon
- The video introduces the course on SAP concepts, focusing on accessing the central application system through SAP Logon.
- It explains how to execute the program by double-clicking the desktop shortcut, which opens a window displaying configured server connections.
Configuring Connections
- Users can create, edit, or delete server connections using icons in the top left corner of the interface.
- The left side of the window allows users to create a personalized workspace structure with folders and subfolders tailored to their needs.
Workspace Views
- Users can switch between different views:
- List view shows all entries without hierarchy.
- Tree view displays favorites and connections in a structured format.
- Explorer view contains default folders for favorites, shortcuts, and connections.
Connecting to a Server
- To connect to a server, users double-click on it and must enter their client number (mandante), user ID, and password provided by the system administrator.
- Users can select their preferred language for menus and screens before logging in by pressing Enter or clicking the checkmark at the top of the screen.
First-Time Login Considerations
- Upon first login, users are prompted to change their initial password set by the administrator; this new password will be used for future logins.
- After successful login, users access SAP Easy Access screen indicating they are within the central application server.
System Information & Logout Process
- The main screen provides system information such as client details, configured language, connection status, and server data under "System."
