8 or 10 Things I Wish I Knew Before Playing Little Big Workshop!
Tips for Playing Little Big Workshop
In this video, Jeff shares some tips that he wishes he knew before playing Little Big Workshop. He covers topics such as game settings, factory design, research and development, rent management, break rooms, markets, diminishing returns and billboards.
Serious Business Mode
- Serious Business Mode is a game setting that removes random events from the game.
- Random events can cause significant damage to your factory and make it difficult to progress.
- Removing random events allows you to focus on building an efficient factory without worrying about unexpected setbacks.
Mold Removal
- Mold spores and mushrooms can spread throughout your factory and reduce worker mood.
- To remove mold from a room, place a mold destroyer item in the room.
- The mold destroyer will only work in the room where it is placed, so you need to repeat the process for each affected room.
Research and Development
- There is a second tab in the research menu with valuable upgrades for your factory.
- Don't neglect this tab as it can significantly improve your production efficiency.
Rent Management
- Every square meter of factory space increases your daily rent cost.
- Keep your factories small to minimize rent costs and maximize efficiency.
Break Rooms
- The most efficient break room setup is a vending machine, coffee maker, and door.
- Vending machines and coffee makers provide more break points per unit of space than other items.
- Adding extra furniture or decorations reduces efficiency without providing significant benefits.
Markets
- Challenges are the most profitable market option as they provide reputation and relations with clients.
- Reputation with clients increases the chance of receiving special tasks that pay well.
Diminishing Returns
- Adding more of the same decoration or mood item to a room provides diminishing returns.
- It is better to make smaller rooms with unique items than larger rooms with duplicates.
Billboards
- Billboards can be placed anywhere and linked to anything.
Tips for Playing Little Big Workshop
In this video, Jeff shares eight tips for playing Little Big Workshop. These tips cover various aspects of the game, including factory layout, storage, and worker management.
Making a Smaller Factory with Billboards
- You can make your factory smaller by using billboards.
- Set up a small cubby with nothing but billboards to use when making market plans.
Using Zones for Storage
- When creating a storage area, you have the option to make it general storage workstation input or link it to a workstation or billboard.
- Assign items to specific zones so that cheaper haulers move them around instead of more expensive operators.
- Create an export zone where workers set aside items for export.
Getting Trophies
- When you achieve significant accomplishments in the game, such as maxing out relations with a client or mastering skills in wood plastic or metal, you receive trophies.
- Trophies double the value of all decorations in the same room but suffer from diminishing returns.
Using the Obstruction Lens
- Use the obstruction lens in the top right corner of the screen to see all obstructions in your workers' path.
- Objects with a red glow obstruct workers and cause them to walk very slowly.
Overall, these tips cover important aspects of Little Big Workshop gameplay and can help players optimize their factories and improve their efficiency.
