  • Daisy left a message for her family expressing exhaustion from her responsibilities, indicating she was leaving without further explanation.

Discovery of the Crime

  • Authorities revealed that Daisy was not seeking peace but had been murdered; her body was discovered in a river.
  • Two individuals were arrested: Daisy's daughters, Débora and Roberta, who allegedly killed their mother to inherit her assets.

Motive Behind the Murder

  • The daughters resented their mother's financial control over them, feeling they received insufficient allowances compared to what their father provided.
  • They conspired to murder Daisy after discussing it during a nighttime conversation about their grievances.

Investigation Details

Police Findings

  • The Tocantins Civil Police concluded that Daisy was lured into an ambush by her own daughters on December 26 of the previous year.
  • Her body showed signs of advanced decomposition when found in the Santa Teresa River, indicating she had been there for some time.

Premeditation and Evidence Tampering

  • Investigators determined that the crime was premeditated due to familial and financial conflicts; Daisy managed the family's finances tightly.
  • The daughters attempted to cover up their actions by buying a phone in Daisy's name to send misleading messages to delay investigations.

Legal Consequences

Charges Filed

  • Both daughters were charged with femicide, concealment of a corpse, and suppression of documents; they are currently held in preventive custody.

Involvement of Other Family Members

  • Additionally, Daisy’s husband faced charges related to document suppression as part of the investigation process.

Reflections on Family Dynamics

Missed Opportunities for Growth

  • Commentary suggests that instead of resorting to violence for inheritance, the daughters could have pursued professional growth within the family business.

Consequences of Actions

  • There is criticism regarding how easily they considered killing their mother rather than working collaboratively towards success.

Family Dynamics and Financial Obligations

Parental Support and Independence

  • Discussion on the role of a mother providing financial support to adult children, questioning the obligation to continue this support once they reach adulthood.
  • The speaker emphasizes that adult daughters should be independent and not rely on their mother for financial assistance, suggesting that any money given would ultimately benefit their husbands.

Legal Implications and Character Insights

  • A man was indicted for potentially obstructing justice by delaying document submission; his calm demeanor is noted as he shows little concern for financial matters.
  • The focus shifts to the daughters, who are portrayed as being more interested in monetary gain than their mother's well-being.

Suspicious Behavior and Evidence

  • The daughters left a message on their mother's phone indicating plans to abandon everything, raising suspicion about their intentions.
  • It is revealed that they purchased a new phone in their mother's name shortly before sending this message, hinting at premeditated actions against her.

Perception of Relationships

  • The narrative suggests disbelief regarding the idea of abandoning family responsibilities; it questions how someone could leave everything behind for a nomadic lifestyle.
  • Commentary on the stepfather's simplicity with technology contrasts sharply with the daughters' manipulative behavior, implying they underestimated him due to his lack of interest in money.
