How to Use Anki Effectively - 10 Question Tutorial [Part 3]
How to Make the 10 Question Format in Anki
In this video, Jay from MedSchoolInsiders.com shows how to make a custom format called the 10 question format in Anki.
Creating the Ten Questions Type
- To create a new card, open up your Anki app and click on 'add'.
- Select 'basic' and hit 'manage', then click 'add' and name it 'ten questions'.
- Define fields by clicking on the 'fields' button. Rename front to 'A' for answer and change back to Q1 for question one.
- Add additional fields for each question.
Defining Behavior of Cards
- Go to cards and switch front and back because each field will serve as a question, while the current back will be the answer.
- Press flip button down here and up here it should say Q1. This is for card one.
- Press plus button on top right for card 2. Go through and add additional fields for each card.
Setting Up Ten Questions
- Once you've added all additional cards, press close button on bottom right.
- The ten questions are now set up.
Using Ten Questions Template
- Take a screenshot of whatever you'd like or use Skitch to blur out what you don't want shown.
- Tag it as anatomy, hit add, close window, then when we press on deck and study it, this is the question card and this is the answer card etc.
Other Options
There's another plugin called Image Occlusion which has more flexibility than this ten-question template.
