What Are YOUR Core Wounds & How To Stop Them From Ruining Your Relationships

What are Core Wounds and How to Identify Them

In this section, the speaker explains what core wounds are and how they affect our lives. They also provide examples of different types of core wounds.

Understanding Core Wounds

  • Core wounds are a baseline level of meaning that we give to situations when we cannot properly emotionally process them.
  • Our mind seeks certainty, and painful experiences in our upbringing that we can't properly wrap our head around or emotionally process lead to our mind making an inference about it in order to get its need met for certainty.
  • As a child, the mind tends to personalize things way more than it would as an adult. When you can't understand something, you give it meaning and take it personally. This meaning then becomes part of your assumption you make about yourself and at a deeper level it becomes part of your subconscious identity.

Examples of Core Wounds

  • Different versions of core wounds include: "I will be abandoned," "I will be alone," "I am unloved," "I am unsafe," "I am helpless," "I am trapped," "I am not good enough," "I am bad," "I am unseen," "I am unheard," and "I don't matter."
  • These core wounds come from us growing up being exposed to things that feel beyond our control. Our mind makes really painful, intense meaning out of these experiences, which become stored in our subconscious.

The Downsides of Carrying Core Wounds

In this section, the speaker discusses the negative impacts that carrying core wounds can have on our lives.

Negative Impacts

  • Our subconscious mind means well by storing these core wounds, but they usually have a lot of really profound downsides or negative impacts.
  • If we think we're not good enough, we won't stretch ourselves out of our comfort zone because we know it's not going to work.
  • When an anxious preoccupied attachment style has an exclusion core wound active, it can be really painful and uncomfortable when triggered.

The Mind's Focus on Negative Experiences

  • Our mind tends to focus on negative experiences more than positive ones because it thinks that we have a better chance of protecting ourselves from these things.
  • Fearful avoidance attachment styles may have core wounds such as "I will be trapped," "I will be helpless," "I am unsafe," and "I am bad."

Understanding Core Wounds and Reprogramming Beliefs

In this section, the speaker discusses how core wounds are conditioned into individuals and how they can be reprogrammed using repetition, emotion, and imagery. The speaker also encourages viewers to identify their own core wounds and consider the benefits of letting them go.

Conditioning Core Wounds

  • Core wounds are not innate but rather conditioned into individuals through repetition, emotion, and imagery.
  • By firing and wiring new patterns in the brain, old patterns or beliefs about oneself atrophy at the neuroplastic level over time.

Identifying Core Wounds

  • Viewers are encouraged to identify a core wound that they struggle with such as feeling unloved or unsafe.
  • They should try to notice when these core wounds come out for them, what it feels like, and how it affects their life in multiple areas.

Reprogramming Beliefs

  • Viewers are encouraged to think about the benefits of letting go of their core wounds and what their life would look like instead.
  • The Emotional Mastery and Belief Reprogramming course is recommended for those who want to deeply recondition these core wounds using tools that target the subconscious mind where these beliefs reside.
  • The course provides clear actionable steps strategies broken down in detail workbook exercises that help viewers shed old patterns or beliefs about themselves once and for all.
  • By using these tools viewers will be able to completely create new patterns in different areas of their lives such as relationships, love life career relationship to money etc., by dropping these core wounds once and for all using those reprogramming techniques.
