• Special forces from the Army and National Guard confirmed that a key figure, referred to as "el Mencho," was located in Tapalpa, prompting a military response involving ground and aerial support.

Tactical Operations

• Ground troops engaged with armed escorts of "el Mencho," resulting in eight criminals killed during the confrontation. This allowed "el Mencho" to escape into a wooded area with his close associates.

• Despite being heavily armed, including rocket launchers, "el Mencho" and his guards were unable to effectively counterattack; however, their gunfire managed to hit a helicopter that had to make an emergency landing.

Casualties and Aftermath

• The engagement resulted in injuries to key figures on both sides: Nemesio Ceguera (presumably "el Mencho") and two of his escorts were severely wounded along with one soldier.
