Não basta estudar Sua vida. Não basta cantar sobre Ele. O chamado do evangelho é muito maior. É caminhar nas Suas pegadas. O cristianismo nunca foi apenas uma religião de crenças. É uma vida de imitação. Paulo chega a dizer: "Sede meus imitadores, como também eu sou de Cristo." A pergunta, então, é muito simples: Se alguém observasse a minha vida durante uma semana inteira, conseguiria enxergar Jesus em mim? Não apenas dentro da igreja. Mas em casa. No trabalho. Na faculdade. No trânsito. Nas redes sociais. Quando ninguém está olhando. Porque é nesses lugares que o discipulado se torna visível. Jesus deixou pegadas muito claras para quem deseja segui-Lo. A primeira delas foi uma vida de completa submissão ao Pai. Ele nunca viveu para fazer Sua própria vontade. Mesmo no Getsêmani, quando Sua alma estava angustiada, Ele declarou: "Não seja feita a minha vontade, mas a tua." Vivemos numa geração que idolatra a autonomia. As pessoas querem um Salvador, mas não querem um Senhor. Querem as promessas de Cristo, mas não querem Sua direção. Jesus nos ensina que a verdadeira liberdade está em viver debaixo da vontade do Pai. Outra marca da caminhada de Cristo foi Sua vida constante de oração. Antes das grandes decisões, Jesus orava. Depois dos grandes milagres, Jesus orava. Nos momentos de alegria, orava. Nos momentos de dor, orava. A oração não era um evento na agenda de Jesus. Era o ambiente onde Ele vivia. Talvez uma das maiores crises da igreja moderna não seja falta de conhecimento bíblico. Talvez seja falta de intimidade. Falamos muito sobre Deus. Mas falamos pouco com Deus. Também encontramos em Jesus um coração completamente voltado ao serviço. O Rei lavou pés. O Senhor serviu. O Criador abraçou pecadores. Ele nunca usou Sua autoridade para ser servido. Usou Sua autoridade para servir. O Reino de Deus continua funcionando da mesma maneira. Grande não é quem recebe mais honra. Grande é quem serve com mais humildade. Por fim, Jesus viveu uma pureza inegociável. Num mundo cheio de tentações, Ele permaneceu santo. Num mundo cheio de compromissos com o pecado, Ele permaneceu fiel. Hoje somos pressionados todos os dias a negociar princípios. Negociar a verdade. Negociar a santidade. Negociar valores. Mas Jesus nos mostra que existem convicções que não têm preço. É exatamente por isso que João diz: "Quem permanece nele deve andar como Ele andou." Não significa que alcançaremos perfeição absoluta nesta vida. Significa que Cristo se tornou o nosso modelo. Quando erramos, voltamos para Ele. Quando caímos, nos levantamos pela Sua graça. Quando pecamos, nos arrependemos. Nossa direção continua sendo Jesus. Hoje, antes de encerrarmos esta mensagem, quero fazer algumas perguntas. Você apenas acredita em Jesus... ...ou está andando como Ele andou? Sua família consegue perceber Cristo em você? Seu ambiente de trabalho percebe Cristo em você? Seus amigos conseguem ver Jesus através das suas atitudes? Porque um discípulo não é reconhecido apenas pelo que fala. É reconhecido pelas pegadas que deixa.
