Las disfunciones sexuales pueden suponer un gran problema en las relaciones íntimas, así como para la propia autoestima de las personas que las sufren. En este vídeo seguiremos el caso de Julia, de 25 años. Julia presenta síntomas compatibles con el trastorno de dolor génito - pélvico/penetración, anteriormente denominado vaginismo. Durante las sesiones de evaluación se podrá observar cómo es imprescindible aproximarse no sólo al problema, sino al resto de áreas de la persona, como pueden ser los modelos de relación interpersonal y las creencias, para entender el desarrollo y mantenimiento de las dificultades. Será especialmente importante tratar con cuidado las creencias de la persona, dado que de hacerse de forma inapropiada puede generar rechazo por parte del paciente. Estos vídeos han sido creados por la asociación PSYCAST (Acercándote a la psicología a través de medios audiovisuales), y por profesores y alumnos participantes del Proyecto de Innovación Educativa 2019/20 titulado: “Elaboración de recursos audiovisuales como apoyo didáctico en la aplicación de metodologías activas e inductivas (flipped learning)” financiado por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
