Rebuilding a Totaled Porsche GT3

  • After undoing six bolts securing the front tray to the subframe, they swap over everything with ease.
  • They attach all nuts and bolts including coolant lines on this subframe so let's connect this corner hose which runs all the way back down to the engine this coolant hose which again goes all

the way back down to the engine with radiators on the front there's a little coolant hose at top and then there's all these connectors as well.

  • One final thing I've got to do is attach the steering column to the steering rack which sits on

the subframe.

Carbon Ceramic Front Disc Fitting

  • Last but definitely not least, fitting carbon ceramic front disc requires extra care since it has no damage.

Wheel Tool Purchase

  • A special tool needed to put the wheels off and on with ease was missing when they got the car. They found one on eBay for 49.99 which is a massive saving compared to what the main dealer wanted for it.

Replacing the Suspension on a Porsche 992 GT3

  • Here's new parts added by Porsche: upper Wishbone which has camber adjust as well and this arm complete with everything cost me £428 pounds
  • We still need a wheel hub and stub axle also on this wheel hub here there's a blank hole here which decides for a sensor but it's same on other side and I could only think it's for like Carrera 4S which is four-wheel drive.

Adjusting Ride Height

  • From Factory, it comes with adjustable ride height. This is what these threads are here so the lower you go, the lower the car gets and he's pretty sure Adam got the car lowered so they're gonna have to get this adjusted once they get it on.
  • To adjust the ride height, they've got to adjust these lock Rings down so he can look at the other side suspension here but technically speaking you're not really supposed to do it like same each side obviously the weight on each corner of vehicle is going to be different that will make ride height different on each corner.

Replacing Brake Disc

  • The old brake disc needs replacing because of a small chip at the top. It's made out of carbon fiber which dissipates heat better so they last longer. He managed to get a new disc from UK for £3,600 pounds.
