- A scrubber has been launched on Shorts that shows automatically for videos that are 30 seconds or longer.
- If a short you are watching is shorter than that you can tap the player to pause the video and the scrubber option will appear.
- The goal is to make it easier for viewers to navigate or jump to a particular moment in a Short.
Super Thanks Decoration
- A Super Thanks decoration has been added to the latest Comment card and on the Channel Feed in Studio Mobile on Android and iOS.
- Creators will be able to differentiate Super Thanks Comments from other comments when they view their most recent comments and in the comments tab.
- The goal is to help creators more easily identify and interact with those who have gifted Super Thanks.
New Card Showing Formats Viewers Watch
- YouTube is launching a new card showing formats viewers watch on YouTube broken out by videos, Shorts, and Live.
- Prior to this, there was no metric available in YouTube Analytics to give creators insight into other formats their viewers are interested in on other channels.
- The goal is to help creators make informed decisions about the formats they publish or experiment with on their channel based on audience insights.
New Shopping Features
- Creators can now promote their own products across long format videos, Shorts, and Live Streams.
- When you tag products featured in your content the shopping button appears creating more visible and delightful way to shop.
- Creators can access product impressions and click data for your channel by signing into YouTube Studio and going to the shopping tab.
Restructuring of Revenue Analytics Page
- YouTube is restructuring its revenue analytics page by adding detailed pages to surface important metrics and allow creators to deep dive more easily across earning methods side by side.
