Bitcoin Macro Analysis

Bitcoin pumped into resistance at the 31.5k to 32k level on the weekly chart.

A slight pullback was observed, but it is not substantial.

Consolidation in sideways ranges typically serves as a pullback instead of major pullbacks.

If Bitcoin can print a weekly candle above the 30k level, it would confirm consolidation in line with typical pullbacks.

Altcoin Trends

Many big protocol upgrades are taking place this week, which is one of the catalysts behind why DeFi has been running.

Price knocking at a resistance level for quite some time typically gives it strength to break even higher.

Shorts typically run out of stamina during consolidations in sideways ranges, leading to aggressive short squeezes to the upside before consolidation and a pullback back into that range where you need to flip into support.

The strength of Bitcoin versus the rest of the market is undeniable here.

Conclusion

The speaker concludes by stating that while we're heading into resistance with Bitcoin, testing this resistance increases its chance of breaking. A short squeeze could be on cards if we get our weekly candle closed above 30.8. Consolidation in line with typical pullbacks could indicate an upward trend for Bitcoin.
