CutsRD Tutorial on OAS Platform

Introduction to the OAS Platform

  • Welcome to CutsRD, where a tutorial is presented on how to use the OAS platform. Viewers are encouraged to subscribe for more content related to OAS. The tutorial covers:
  • Accessing the virtual classroom.
  • Participating in videoconferences with professors.
  • Engaging in forums.
  • Submitting and viewing assignments.
  • Taking exams and checking grades.

Accessing the Virtual Classroom

  • To enter the UAS page, locate the "campo virtual" section and click it. Enter your student ID (matrícula) and password, which is the same as used in self-service. After clicking "access," all selected subjects will be displayed. Select your desired subject by clicking on its blue arrow. For example, choose "Informática Jurídica." This opens up the central panel of that subject showing units and professor's messages.

Navigating Course Resources

  • Scroll down to find learning resources provided by your professor, including tasks, exams, and forums—all related materials are accessible here. The left panel lists units (usually seven), along with grading information and personal areas available on the platform. To join a videoconference, select it from resources (e.g., "Videoconferencia 1"), click access, input your name (to avoid default settings), allow access permissions, then enter the meeting room.

Participating in Forums

  • Participation in forums follows a similar process: go to the homepage and select a discussion forum (e.g., "foro de discusión de conceptos"). Click it to view instructions from your professor regarding comments needed for discussion; respond by clicking “reply.” A dialog box appears for you to write your comment before sending it—note that you have 30 minutes to edit or delete your response after submission; be cautious of typographical errors!

Submitting Assignments

  • To submit an assignment, navigate back to the homepage and click on the assignment title which leads directly to professor’s message about it—this may include files for reference or templates required for submission. Ensure you download any necessary files if specified by your instructor before completing your task; save submissions preferably as PDF or Word documents based on guidelines given by professors. Check deadlines carefully since late submissions may not be accepted! After preparing your file:
  • Click “add submission” leading you into a dialog box prompting file upload.
  • Select your file using blue arrow button then save changes—confirm submission when prompted; ensure it's marked as submitted rather than saved as draft!

Taking Exams

  • Finally, understand how to take an exam: note down dates/times set by instructors beforehand! Navigate through units until reaching assessments like “Prueba número uno,” then click “attempt quiz.” Be aware of allowed attempts per instructor—some allow multiple tries while others only one attempt is permitted.
  • Upon starting an exam:
  • Review time limits provided before beginning.
  • Questions can vary between multiple choice or true/false formats; ensure correct spelling if answering fill-in-the-blanks questions!

How to Submit and Review Exam Answers

Submitting the Exam

  • Once all questions (15 in this case) are completed, click on "Finish Attempt" to proceed with submission.
  • After finishing, select "Save and Submit All" to ensure your answers are recorded correctly. It's crucial to follow these steps precisely.
  • Upon submission, you will immediately see your score, allowing for quick feedback on performance.
  • To review which questions were answered correctly or incorrectly, click on the review option after viewing your score.

Viewing Grades

  • To access grades for all activities including exams, forums, and assignments, navigate to the left panel and select "Grades." This will display a comprehensive list of scores.
  • The grading section provides ongoing tracking of all assessments conducted by the instructor throughout the course duration.
