Através, Cildo Meireles. A obra Através trata-se de uma instalação em uma das galerias do Instituto Cultural Ihotim, localizado em Brumadinho/MG, um dos mais importantes acervos de arte contemporânea do mundo, além te ter uma coleção botânica que reúne espécies raras de todos os continentes. A Instalação "Através" é um trabalho do artista contemporâneo Cildo Meireles (1848-), realizada durante os anos 80, justamente em um período de apreensão e esperança, devido a redemocratização do país, depois de algum anos de governo ditatorial. O Brasil passava por um período de incertezas... A obra é um espaço que utiliza as 3 dimensões... teto, chão e paredes. No chão está alguns pedaços de vidros estilhaçados, cujo o espectador caminha, causando atrito e ruídos. São objetos cortantes, podendo simbolizar o fim do Regime, por mais que tenha sido algo vencido, ainda causa barulho. Ao redor temos cortinas, arames e cercas... objetos do nosso cotidiano. Porém todos esses materiais tratam sobre "barreiras", com os mais diferentes tipos de cargas psicológicas, alguns protegem, outros aprisionam, alguns são altos, outros são baixos, alguns machucam, outros causam conforto... O trabalho oferece vários tipos de transparência e sensações para os espectadores, trazendo uma relação de descoberta. Aludindo às barreiras que a vida nos proporciona, em relação aos nossos desejos que não são alcançados. A obra depende do ângulo no qual está sendo vista, já que não é possível percebê-la por completo. Os objetos forçam a percepção de quem está vendo, fazendo com que seja analisado cada elemento colocado no espaço.
