A pesar de que este señor ya había sido víctima de atentados menores en su contra en el pasado estando fuera y dentro de la oficina presidencial, el más reciente fue sin duda el que más cerca ha estado de quitarle la vida. El perpetrador de este, usando una AR-15 (un rifle de guerra semiautomático) y ubicándose en un edificio no muy lejano a la tarima del candidato (pero fuera del lugar del evento) abrió fuego repetidamente contra su objetivo, fallando la primera vez, impactandolo en su oreja derecha en la segunda y descargando más rondas al intentar darle de nuevo sin éxito… Trump fue evacuado al instante del lugar, y ya se encuentra en un mejor estado habiendo sufrido heridas superficiales, tristemente no se puede decir lo mismo de 3 de sus seguidores, quienes sí fueron impactados por el tirador, dos, al día 15 de julio, quedando en estado crítico, y uno… que perdió la vida.
