How to Use Gantt View and Widget
In this video, the presenter demonstrates how to use the Gantt view and widget in order to bring project dependencies and milestones to life.
Adding Gantt View
- Before adding the Gantt view, ensure that you have a timeline column and a dependency column.
- Go to "Add View" and select "Gantt".
- The Gantt view is divided into two sections: a list of tasks and dates, and a visual representation of each item with dependency lines.
- This view is interactive, allowing you to drill down to specific details and make updates on the fly.
Adding Baseline
- Click on "Baseline" to take a snapshot of the current project as a point of reference.
- Your project plan will highlight on-track tasks in green and delayed ones in red while keeping your original plan in gray for reference.
Adding Milestones
- Convert any timeline entry into a milestone by clicking on the box next to it and selecting your date.
- Each milestone will be clearly represented in your Gantt view.
Customizing Your View
- Click on the settings gear icon to customize your view.
- Fine-tune everything from task grouping to color coding.
- Adjust time intervals shown on your view by clicking here.
Using Gantt Dashboard Widget
- Add the widget, then select boards and groups you'd like included.
- Configure settings similarly as discussed earlier.
