Video description

Top video is the extended German release and the bottom video is the US/international release. Note that I was unable to re-map the HDR colours in the German HD release, therefore it appears 'washed out' in this comparison, but the Blu-Ray and 4K releases are correctly colour graded. The German release of The Neverending Story contains additional dialogue between Atreyu and Gmork. The German version shows Gmork ebbing in strength, with his instruction to Atreyu to 'leave me alone' and later telling Atreyu that he (Gmork) is almost too weak to kill Atreyu (before he knows he is talking to Atreyu), but that he will find the strength. In the German version, Atreyu triumphantly proclaims that he will 'give' Gmork the strength before ordering him: Come for me Gmork, I am Atreyu!
