Next he left most of his paintings unfinished. Even his masterpieces. Basically Da Vinci would start a painting, get to a certain point, and get bored. So he would just move on to something else like anatomy, engineering or music theory. So the world's greatest artist had the world's worst follow-through. And we still call his unfinished works masterpieces. Next Da Vinci designed a working helicopter, solar power and a tank — 400 years before they existed. His aerial screw is a direct precursor to the helicopter rotor. His solar concentrator mirrors harness sunlight. And his armored vehicle is functionally a tank. But none of them were built in his lifetime. The materials didn't even exist. So he was designing for a future he knew he'd never see. But here’s where it gets weird because Da Vinci could write with one hand and draw with the other at the same time.
