Guided Breathing Session

This is a guided breathing session that involves three rounds of circular breathing with breath holds in between.

Round One

  • Breathe in and out, following the flow of your breath.
  • Take deep, circular breaths into your belly and chest without pausing between inhalation and exhalation.

Breath Hold One

  • Fully inhale and exhale before holding your breath for one minute.
  • Slow down your heartbeat and let relaxation spread throughout your body.

Recovery Breath

  • Inhale deeply and hold for 15 seconds before exhaling.

Round Two

  • Follow the same circular breathing pattern as round one, focusing on peace during inhalation and releasing stress during exhalation.

Breath Hold Two

  • After the last exhale, hold your breath for one and a half minutes while becoming aware of your body's sensations.

Recovery Breath

  • Inhale deeply and hold for 15 seconds before exhaling.

Round Three

  • Repeat the same circular breathing pattern as rounds one and two, focusing on relaxation during inhalation and releasing distress during exhalation.

Breath Hold Three

  • After the last exhale, hold your breath for one and a half minutes while feeling the blood running through your veins.

Recovery Breath

  • Let your breathing return to normal as you move bit by bit starting with fingers then toes.

This guided breathing session involves three rounds of circular breathing with increasing length of breath holds in between each round. The focus is on deep, circular breathing and relaxation during inhalation and releasing stress or distress during exhalation. The breath holds are meant to increase awareness of the body's sensations and slow down the heartbeat.
