COMO HACER UNA GRÁFICA CIRCULAR Super facil
New Section
In this video, Daniel Carreón explains how to create a pie chart or circular graph. He discusses the concept of a pie chart and its representation of data in proportions. The video provides step-by-step instructions on creating a pie chart using survey data on favorite colors.
Creating a Table of Data
- To create a pie chart, we first need to gather the data. In this case, Daniel asked 40 people about their favorite colors.
- The table includes columns for color, frequency (number of people), degrees (proportional angle), and relative frequency (percentage).
Calculating Degrees
- A circle has 360 degrees, so we divide it by the total number of people surveyed (40) to determine the degrees per person.
- Each color's frequency is multiplied by the degrees per person to calculate the corresponding angle in degrees.
Calculating Percentages
- To represent our results accurately, we need to calculate the percentage for each response.
- We divide 100% by the total number of people surveyed (40) to determine how many percentage points each response corresponds to.
- Multiplying each color's frequency by the percentage points gives us the respective percentages.
Creating the Pie Chart
- Using a compass or protractor, we draw a circle as our base for the pie chart.
- We measure and mark each slice's angle according to its calculated degree value.
- Starting with one color at a time, we draw each slice until completing all responses.
Adding Percentages
- Once our pie chart is complete, we add the corresponding percentages next to each slice.
- These percentages provide an easy-to-understand visual representation of our data.
Conclusion
Creating a pie chart allows us to visually analyze and interpret data more effectively. It serves as an excellent tool for summarizing information and making informed decisions based on the analysis.
