Your Face In Midjourney! It's Here, Easy, and It Works! (Amazing Faceswap Plugin!)
Introduction
In this video, the speaker introduces Insight Face, an open-source library for 2D and 3D face analysis. The speaker explains how to use Insight Face to generate mid-journey images.
- The speaker demonstrates how to create a mid-journey image of Indiana Jones using Insight Face.
- The speaker explains how to create a new server in Discord and add the Mid-Journey bot.
- The speaker provides a link to download Insight Face and explains how to authorize it on Discord.
Creating an ID
- To give the Insight bot a face to swap, the user needs to create an ID by uploading an image and naming it.
- The user can then start generating images using Insight Face.
Generating Images
- After selecting an image, the user can upscale it and run Swapper in the apps menu.
- Within less than a minute, Swapper generates a mid-journey image that looks realistic with consistent skin tones and lighting.
Limitations
- While testing out different prompts for generating mid-journey images, the speaker found that some prompts did not work well with Insight Face. For example, when prompted with "photograph male dark hair heavy weightlifter gym massive barbell big muscles," Insight Face generated a monstrous image that was not recognizable as human.
Face Swapping with InsightFace: A Review
In this video, Tim reviews the face-swapping capabilities of InsightFace. He demonstrates how to use the tool and shares his thoughts on its strengths and limitations.
Using Illustrative Style Images
- Tim runs a face swap on an Andrew Wyeth painting and a young farmer image.
- He also tries swapping faces on an illustrative style male cyberpunk hero intense gaze image.
- When using City street image, he notes that the skin tones are more photo-ish than illustrative.
Using Personal Images
- Tim experiments with creating a mid-journey avatar using his own images as prompts.
- He notes that applying InsightFace to his prompt image results in a better-looking version of himself.
- Tim also tests using InsightFace for business development purposes by running it on a male businessman LinkedIn profile picture headshot.
Limitations of InsightFace
- The tool struggles with beards, as seen when trying to swap faces on Jedi Knight images with light or full beards.
- It does not re-roll anything, so subsequent runs will result in the same image.
- Extreme expressions can cause issues, such as smudging around the mouth area when swapping faces on an extreme weightlifter expression.
Overall, while there are some limitations to InsightFace's face-swapping capabilities, it is still a useful tool for personal and business development purposes.
