- Introduction and importance of communication
- Accessing and registering in the Athena system
- Material insertion and management
- Photo insertion
- Process tracking
- Publication guidelines and final instructions.
Importance of Communication
Role of Communication in FAB
- Communication is essential for strengthening FAB's institutional image, connecting society with its actions, and ensuring transparency in information dissemination. Mastery over material management processes within Athena is crucial for timely, clear, and credible information sharing.

Inserting Materials into Athena

Photo Management Guidelines
Uploading Images
- Once text content is saved:
- Use the camera icon to upload images following specific requirements:
- Photos should be horizontal with dimensions of approximately 300x200 pixels.
- Avoid embedding credits directly onto images; instead provide credits separately during submission.
- Include captions or alternative text when necessary for context about significant individuals mentioned in the article.
Process Tracking & Approval Workflow
Understanding Submission Outcomes
- After submitting materials:
- Seconsaer will evaluate submissions based on journalistic criteria leading to three possible outcomes: acceptance (for review), return with feedback for improvements, or archiving if it does not meet standards.
Best Practices for Submission
- Adhere strictly to journalistic standards such as proper lead structure, inclusion of quotes from relevant sources with full names and titles (e.g., Brigadeiro do Ar Daniel).
Understanding News Writing Essentials
The Importance of the Lead (Lide) in Journalism
- The lead, or "lide," is crucial as it summarizes the most important information in a news article, answering essential journalistic questions: who, what, when, where, how, and why.
- A well-crafted lead informs and engages readers immediately, encouraging them to continue reading for more details about the story.
Analyzing a Specific News Article
- A recent ceremony celebrating 55 years of Secaunça was highlighted; the lead effectively communicated key details such as the event type and timing.
- Including quotes from relevant figures adds credibility to the article; for instance, a statement from Secaunça's chief validates the content presented.
Criteria for Approving News Content
- Articles must include essential elements like quotes and detailed context to be approved; otherwise, they may be archived if deemed irrelevant to broader audiences.
- An example of an insufficient article discussed an internal event but lacked necessary details like location; thus it was returned for improvement.
