Introduction to Executive Education Department

The speaker introduces the Executive Education Department and its aim of training professionals from around the world. They also showcase notable alumni.

Programs Offered

  • The department offers an executive certificate (15 ECTS) or an executive diploma (30 ECTS) in environmental governance and policy making.
  • Participants can start with the executive certificate and upgrade later to an executive diploma within three years of starting the program.
  • Another option is upgrading to a master of advanced studies (60 ECTS), which can be done within five years of starting the program.

Flexibility for Professionals

  • The department offers maximum flexibility for professionals who are full-time workers with jobs and families, allowing them to complete their studies on a longer time frame.
  • Dates for the executive certificate are October 14th - 22nd, 2022 for module one, and January 26th - February 1st, 2023 for module two.
  • Module one and two cover an introduction to global environmental governance, while additional themes include food and climate change (module one), water energy, human rights (module two).
  • Modules three and four dates are still to be determined but will cover stakeholder actors regulatory frameworks.

Multi-Dimensional Approach

  • Each theme will examine stakeholder actors regulatory frameworks using a multi-dimensional approach that includes science-policy interface.
