Thunderstorm Advisories and Weather Conditions

• As of 3:45 a.m., thunderstorm advisories were issued for the National Capital Region (NCR) and nearby areas in Southern and Central Luzon, predicting rain and thunderstorms lasting one to two hours.

• By around 6:00 a.m., it is expected that thunderstorms affecting Bataan, Zambales, Cavite, and Metro Manila will dissipate. Visitors are encouraged to check updates on weather.gov.ph for real-time information.

• The Southwest Monsoon continues to impact large parts of the country with significant chances of cloudy skies and rainfall across the Visayas, Mindanao, and Mimaropa regions. Northern Luzon is forecasted to have generally fair weather.

Monitoring Low Pressure Areas

• A cloud cluster is being monitored in the eastern part of Visayas and Mindanao which may develop into a low-pressure area today or tomorrow; this could potentially become a typhoon in subsequent days.

• If formed, this low-pressure area could bring additional rainfall along with the effects of the Southwest Monsoon across Luzon, Visayas, and parts of Mindanao today. Heavy rains are particularly anticipated in Occidental Mindoro and Romblon due to these conditions.

Temperature Forecast

• Expected temperature ranges include:

• Lawag: 25 to 32°C

• Tuguegarao: 26 to 34°C

• Baguio: 17 to 24°C

• Metro Manila: 26 to 31°C

Rainfall Predictions Across Regions

• Significant rainfall is expected in Palawan due to the Southwest Monsoon; other areas like Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Negros Island Region, and Southern Leyte will also experience heavy rains today. Temperature ranges for Ilo-Ilo are projected at 25 to 32°C while Metro Cebu expects between 26 to 31°C.

• In Mindanao:

• Major regions such as Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao region will see rain from the Southwest Monsoon.

• Isolated thunderstorms may occur in BARMM (Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao) leading up towards Soxurgen with temperatures ranging from about 24° C in Zamboanga up to around 32° C in Davao City.

Ocean Conditions & Future Outlook

• No gale warnings are currently issued; thus vessels can safely navigate coastal waters but should exercise caution during thunderstorms due to potential rough seas caused by strong winds.

• Looking ahead over the next four days:

• A possible low-pressure area formation could lead to increased rainfall across various regions including Luzon towards Thursday through Saturday.
