Creating a Valve Part - Body Piece
In this section, the process of creating the body piece for a ball valve using basic operations like extrude, cut, round, and chamfer is demonstrated.
Creating the Initial Shape
- Start by sketching a square with sides measuring 35 units, using the origin as a reference point.
- Add two circles on each edge of the square, one with a diameter of seven units and the other with a diameter of three units.
Refining the Shape
- Utilize the equal relation to efficiently create circles. Make a circle at the origin with a diameter of 13 units. Apply an extrude operation at a distance of 9 units.
- Begin another sketch on top, creating a circle at the origin with a diameter of 15 units. Use an extrude cut operation at a distance of 1 unit followed by applying a chamfer operation with parameters set to 1 unit distance and 45 degrees angle.
