Inequality Issues Addressed by the 2030 Agenda

• The 2030 Agenda addresses inequality issues comprehensively as they affect all areas of life. It focuses on eliminating all forms of violence against women, including trafficking, sexual exploitation, child marriage, and female genital mutilation.

• It promotes shared responsibility for unpaid care and domestic work. Universal access to sexual and reproductive health is emphasized.

• Equal rights to economic resources, ownership, control over land and other forms of property, financial services, inheritance, and natural resources are advocated for.

• Full and effective participation of women at all levels of decision-making in political, economic, and public life is encouraged.

• Policies and legislation are promoted to empower girls and women at all levels.

• Gender equality is a fundamental human right essential for the sustainability of the planet.

Recognition of Women's Role

• Women make up half of the population and should be regarded as such.
