Sônia Paiva é multiartista com vasta experiência em distintas áreas. Se expressa por meio de linguagens multimidiáticas que vão do artesanato às tecnologias. É criadora, mantenedora e produtora do Parque de Produções: espaço que abriga o desenvolvimento de projetos e de produtos com a interação de diversas linguagens: pintura, design gráfico, texto, desenho da cena, escultura, artesanato, computação gráfica, fotografia, robótica, entre outras. Centro dedicado à educação holística – voltado para arte, culturas humanas e a preservação da natureza. Como pesquisadora, possui graduação em Educação Artística, UnB (1980-1990), pós-graduação em Artes pela Byam Shaw School of Art, Londres (1993-1994), mestrado em Artes e Tecnologia pela UnB (2004-2006) e doutorado na linha de pesquisa Processos Composicionais para Cena, do Instituto de Artes da UnB (2012-2016).
