Understanding Divinity

In this section, the speakers discuss their beliefs about divinity and how it manifests in the world.

Beliefs About Divinity

• The energy of your own body and different organs in your body, including your head, are the conflict systems that generate life.

• Deity represents an energy system, and part of that system is human energy systems like love and malice.

• Jesus embodied elemental forces that reconciled mankind to God. The basic Buddhist idea is that this is true for everyone as well.

• The radiance of the presence of the Divine is known through people who live in relation to it.

Impersonal Nature of Divinity

• It's possible for divinity to be impersonal, such as breath or a transcendent mystery.

• In Oriental thinking, God is seen as a vehicle for the energy source.

Views on Jesus

In this section, the speakers discuss their views on Jesus and his teachings.

What Jesus Said

• The sayings of Jesus are probably pretty close to what he actually said.

• When you read the Thomas Gospel, which was done up there in those other Gnostic texts, it has all the flavor of one of the Year Synoptics Matthew Mark or Luke except it doesn't say quite the same thing.

Christhood

• Anyone who lives in relation to Christhood radiates God.

• Anyone who brings into his life the message of the word is equivalent to Jesus.
