Using Click and Drag to Create Curves

• Click and drag the object to create curves.

• Hold down the Alt button and pull the tail of the curve back into alignment.

• Connect it to make a shape for a pretty accurate line.

Changing Mask Value from Frame to Frame

• Click on the stopwatch icon for mask path, mask feather, mask opacity, and mask expansion.

• Change the mask value from frame to frame by clicking on this button which is track selected mask forward one frame or use left or right arrow key.

Expanding Old Mask Instead of Retracing It

• Expand the old mask instead of retracing it so that it fills in a new space.

• Click on the path to add new points.

• Move forward one frame and retrace it until we reach the final frame where we've masked out the entire screen.

Removing First Mask

• Go to the first keyframe and go back one frame.

• Decrease the mask expansion so that our mask is ready for this effect.

Final Steps

• Select this clip and move it one track above then select the second clip and pull it under the track where the mask is starting [Music].

• If you see some black shape anywhere, increase the mask expansion around five.
