Cielorraso Junta Tomada Durlock®: Construcción en Seco
How to Construct a Durlock Ceiling
Step 1: Layout and Structure Assembly
- Define the desired height of the ceiling by marking it on the perimeter walls using chalk lines.
- Secure the first sole plate with nylon plugs (number 8) and screws, spaced every 60 cm, repeating this on the opposite wall.
Step 2: Marking Rigid Panels
- Use a measuring tape and chalk line to mark the position of main beams on the existing ceiling, spaced 1.20 meters apart parallel to fixed sole plates.
- Create a grid every meter perpendicular to these lines, indicating where rigid panels will be placed.
Step 3: Assembling Rigid Panels
- Assemble rigid panels using vertical studs and horizontal sole profiles at least 10 cm long, securing them with two screws at each joint.
- For connections between slabs and rigid panels, use nylon plugs (number 8) for secure fastening.
Step 4: Installing Main Beams
- Maintain a maximum separation of main beams at 1.20 meters while ensuring levels are verified against previously marked guide lines.
- Position sole profiles upside down as main beams suspended from the ceiling via rigid panels.
Step 5: Completing Structure with Vertical Studs
- Cut vertical studs according to ceiling dimensions, approximately one centimeter shorter than wall-mounted sole plates.
- Install vertical studs every 40 cm within perimeter sole plates; secure main beams to these studs using top-side screws.
Step 6: Installing Durlock Panels
- Once structure is assembled, attach Durlock panels using steel screws spaced every 25–30 cm in panel centers and every 15 cm along edges aligned with profile axes.
Step 7: Joint Treatment
- Apply Durlock putty and micro-perforated paper tape for joint treatment between panels following detailed recommendations provided in related videos.
Step 8: Finishing Profiles
