Placing Views on Sheets in Revit

- To place one view on a sheet:
- Go to the project browser and find the sheets.
- Open up one of the sheets.
- Scroll up again in the project browser and find the view that you want to place.
- Click, hold and drag it over to the sheet.
- Click to place it in its position.
- To change title and line:
- Select the view itself.
- Go to properties panel.
- Select no title/title only/title with line.
Placing Multiple Views on a Sheet at Once
- To place multiple views at once:
- Go to View menu > Sheet Composition > Place View button
- Search through all of the views that we have in this project
OR
select multiple views by clicking once holding shift key then click again everything between those two clicks will be selected
OR
hold control key and select each view you want to add
- Rearrange these views by moving them around.
Aligning Views Across Multiple Sheets
- To align views across multiple sheets:
- Go back to original main sheet
- Go to Sheet Composition > Guide Grid
- Create new guide grid
- Select other boundary of this guide grid go to grid spacing add larger number like 100 millimeters then click apply
- Reduce it so we only get one intersection indicating one important point on this project
- Move it by moving the intersection and placing it on the intersection of these two grid lines
- Go to second sheet, open up the second floor plan sheet like so here I can go to the properties and then
Splitting a Single View Across Multiple Sheets
- To split a single view across multiple sheets:
- Duplicate The View as a dependent.
- Place duplicated view on multiple sheets.
