Overview of Methods

• The video introduces two methods for copying or moving journal entries from one month to another in 16 100 Cloud Accounting.

First Method: Drag and Drop

• Ensure the "Open items in separate windows" option is selected under the "Window" menu in the display settings.

• Open the source journal containing the entry to be copied or moved, then select the destination journal. Use Shift + Control and click to drag the entry into the destination journal while holding down Alt.

• A transfer window will prompt you to delete the original entry if moving; check this box if applicable. If not, only a copy will be made.

• Validate your action by clicking OK; you can cancel or confirm on a subsequent screen. Confirming shows that the entry has been successfully transferred.

Second Method: Enhanced Transfer Functionality

• Starting from version 7, an alternative method allows specifying which journal to transfer entries without needing drag-and-drop actions.

• Select an entry from a specific journal (e.g., January purchase journal), then use the "Action" button at the bottom of the window and choose "Transfer selected items."

• Check the new option for transferring an item to another journal, select either within the same period or a different one (e.g., February), and choose a corresponding code for that journal.
