Home Remedies for Toothaches

In this video, Dr. Axe discusses natural remedies for toothaches. He shares his top three remedies and provides tips on how to use them effectively.

Essential Oils for Toothaches

  • Clove oil is the best essential oil for toothaches, as it has high antioxidant properties.
  • Apply a drop of clove oil directly to the affected area.
  • For teething babies, mix equal amounts of clove oil and coconut oil and apply to the gums.

Cloves or Clove Powder

  • Cloves or clove powder mixed with coconut oil can also be used if you don't have clove essential oil.
  • However, clove essential oil is more effective than clove powder.

Sea Salt for Pain Relief

  • Gargling and swishing sea salt in the mouth can provide relief from toothache pain.
  • Sea salt has natural antibacterial properties and can act as an analgesic.

Peppermint Oil for Numbing

  • Peppermint oil contains menthol, which can help numb the affected area.
  • Create a mixture of clove oil and peppermint oil to rub directly on the toothache area.

Additional Tips

  • Reduce sugar intake as it can contribute to toothache-causing bacteria and inflammation.
  • If the toothache persists or worsens, it's important to see a dentist.

Remember these ingredients - clove oil, peppermint oil, and sea salt - as they are effective home remedies for overcoming toothaches.

Home Remedies for Toothache Relief: http://bit.ly/2S06ti8 Today I’m going to talk to you about home remedies for toothaches. Toothaches can be painful whether you have a sore tooth or your baby is teething. I have three top home remedies for overcoming toothaches fast. The first thing that is vital to alleviating your toothache is essential oils. The best essential oil you can use, according to medical literature, is clove oil because it has the highest amount of antioxidants in the entire world. For a teething baby, you may want to take equal amounts of clove oil and coconut oil and rub it on the gum area. Secondly, sea salt is a great natural remedy for toothaches. If you take some sea salt and gargle it with water, making sure it swooshes around the painful area, it can help heal with it’s natural antibacterial properties. Lastly, peppermint oil has menthol in it, which can help numb that painful area of your mouth. Reducing or eliminating excess sugar from your diet can also be effective when overcoming your toothache. If you really want to get rid of your toothache, I would recommend swooshing sea salt in your mouth, then rub a clove and peppermint oil mixture on the tooth. -------------------- Dr. Josh Axe, DC, DNM, CNS, is a doctor of chiropractic, certified doctor of natural medicine and clinical nutritionist with a passion to help people eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle.
